I’m passionate about our industry.

(You too? Then you’re in the right place.)

The group of humans that make up the travel industry are among the most resilient that I know.  What we do brings life to others! We truly make dreams to come to life, create experiences that can only be imagined, and we make a difference. We connect people from all over the globe. We help heal family relationships, marriages, we facilitate making lifelong memories. We bring value to others.

However, we can't do those things to the best of our ability when we are exhausted, unfocused, and are flying by the seat of our pants 24/7.  We need boundaries in life so that we can best take care of our clients, but more importantly we can best be present for the ones that we love. How I wish I knew when I launched my travel business the things I know now.

Hey! I’m Christen.

What started at my kitchen table is now an award-winning and truly full service travel agency. Outside of my client work, I love river cruising, drinking wine in Tuscany, hiking intermediate trails anywhere in the world to catch a view from above, and I love being with my family.

I have a husband, two daughters, a son, and three amazing sons in law and the cutest dog, Layla. I’m so grateful for the time I get to spend with them, and I wish that when I’d started my business that I would have put my phone down, closed the laptop, and realized that what was most important was right in front of me. And that, my friends, is my “why”. I want to help others achieve their goals in business and have a personal life at the same time.

And here’s the backstory…

Over the past two decades, I’ve gone from taking whatever “trips” came my way to creating a space where I can be selective as to the clients with whom I want to work. I used to chase the sale. Today, clients pay a fee to work with me.

I’ve gone from selling the inside cabin of the largest mass market cruise line to creating customized, personalized experiences that are tailored to my clients. Think: Yachts on the Dalmatian Coast, 15 day Safaris, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and other private tours through Peru. I believe God made the world so incredibly huge and vast and he has given us the opportunity to explore. I love moving my clients “beyond the itinerary” and into true immersive and authentic adventures.

In this metamorphosis of my business, I also learned that I can have the same opportunities that I create for others. However, that’s easier said than done when you’re working 24/7, with no boundaries, no systems, or processes. I learned that I can control my schedule, and that if I don’t, it will control me. I’ve learned to create a business that is both automated and personalized. And I’ve learned that when I’m constantly reactive instead of proactive, that’s when I’m least productive, least effective, and most frustrated.

It’s so difficult to be present with your loved ones, focused on their wants and needs, and be completely engaged in their lives when all you can think about is all the unfinished tasks you left on your desk.

Do any of these problems sound familiar to you? If so, I have solutions!
